My name is Valerie and I am a Montessori teacher with a master's degree in education. I have worked with children for more than fifteen years in diverse settings.

I moved to New York from Texas two years ago and decided, after the birth of my first child, to dedicate my time to the love and care of young children. I am now opening my home to children from six weeks to twelve years of age. I am proposing a structured and nurturing milieu that provides all the care and love to your children while they enjoy playful and educational activities throughout the day. I strongly believe that all children need to be happy while learning. This is why I have gladly designed a creative and suitable program for each age group.

As a teacher, I recognize the need for your child to have a rich and stimulating environment where his interests are respected and supported through a series of discoveries and exploration. I also understand that after a day at school, he will require as much exercise as he can get. Your child will enjoy our outdoor space with playground equipment!

As a mother, I believe in the importance of a safe and nurturing environment, a place where a child is comfortable and independent. I will work with you in order to make your child as confident as possible just because I love what I do!

Welcome to Little Hand Daycare!

Little Hand Daycare is a member of the Food and Nutrition Program sponsorized by the Department of Health in association with the Child Care Council of Nassau. We are pleased to offer three cooked meals a day as well as the snacks and drinks.

Little Hand Daycare is licensed by the NYS Office of Children and Family Services. We have a contract with the Department of Social services (DSS) to welcome subsidized families in our program.
